More Details on the Rumored Episode VII Stormtrooper Helmet

Well the past 24 hours have brought rapid fire information regarding the rumored redesign of the Stormtrooper helmets for Star Wars: Episode VII. The other day we posted a sketch by artist Tom Hodges that he said was based on an image he saw from an unnamed source. Well yesterday, the website IndieRevolver.com produced an image of what looked like a computer-generated helmet that shared a lot of the characteristics of the Hodges sketch. Then last night a second image appeared of what is a photo of an actual, physical, non-CGI Stormtrooper helmet (with several more in the background cropped out).

So are these legit? Are these the helmets we are going to see on the big screen in less than 490 days? Personally, I hope the answer is yes. I love these designs. They are still easily identifiable as Stormtrooper helmets but are sleek, updated and menacing-looking. I can’t wait to see these in full context with a suit of white armor underneath them.
