Al Pacino Discusses Why He Turned Down Star Wars

Yesterday, the team over at MTV News posted an interview with Al Pacino who discussed, among other things, why he turned down an iconic role in the original ‘Star Wars’ film. Pacino, who was at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting a pair of new projects revealed that he was indeed offered the role of Han Solo in the 1977 blockbuster film. His reason for turning it down? In addition to being offered many roles after his amazing performance in ‘The Godfather’ Pacino admits to just not “getting” the film.
