New PSWCS charity medallion for SW Celebration
Today the PSWCS (Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society) announced that they will have a new charity medallion available at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. This year the Fundraising medallion will be to help support Castaway Critters, which is a no kill aninal shelter in Harrisburg, PA. The medallion will feature Darth Vader on the front and the PSWCS logo on the back. It will be available at the PSWCS booth #1077 at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim and will cost $10. With each medallion you will receive a certificate of authentcity and a reciept because this is tax deductible. There will be a limited run of a 1,000 medallions available at SWCA and any remaining will be available on-line after the convention.
This medallion is part of a series started back in 2009 that has featured Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Wars armor (2009), Chewbacca (2010), Princess Leia in Hoth Gear (2011), and Yoda (2012).
It would make a great addition to any collection and the funds raised will go to a great cause.

PSWCS.org Launches Castaway Critters Fundraiser at Star Wars™ Celebration Anaheim
PSWCS.org, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society (PSWCS), will be selling Darth Vader themed medallions at Star Wars™ Celebration Anaheim to raise funds to support Castaway Critters.
Castaway Critters, based in Harrisburg, PA, is a no-kill animal shelter focused on sick, injured, and special needs animals.
The limited edition medallion is fully approved by Lucasfilm and has an edition size of 1000 pieces. Each medallion features the likeness of Darth Vader on the front, along with the date and the name of the charity, Castaway Critters. The back features the PSWCS logo.
The medallions will be $10 each and will be accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity and receipt as they are tax deductible.
The medallions go on sale at the PSWCS booth #1077 during Star Wars™ Celebration Anaheim from April 16 – 19, 2015. Remaining medallions will be available for sale online after the convention.

The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society was formed in 2000 to bring together collectors living in and around Pennsylvania. Club members use an email list and monthly meetings to keep in touch and share their love of the hobby surrounding the Star Wars™ films. They began their charity work in 2003 by holding annual toy drives and expanded in 2009 with the sale of their first Lucasfilm approved Star Wars™ collectible medallion. Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals is a local grass-roots No-Kill animal rescue founded by Barbara Holmes and friends and family of James A. Hueholt, who died in 1994 at age 37. Jim rescued and cared for many animals himself. Our work in lessening the suffering of companion animals is a tribute to him and to his love of life.
