Billie Lourd Comments on Her Role in The Force Awakens

Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Billie Lourd has confirmed that she’s not playing a young Princess Leia Organa in the upcoming sci-fi film.
The daughter of Carrie Fisher, Lourd told Entertainment Tonight that the gossip of her playing a young Leia in a flashback scene for The Force Awakens is untrue. “That’s a lie. That’s a rumor,” said Lourd. “I wish I played a young princess.”
While Lourd denied the Leia rumor, the 22-year-old actress was quiet about exactly whom she is portraying in the J.J. Abrams-directed film. “I can’t talk to you about the character, or the lack of character,” Lourd said. “I didn’t even say that. That was too much.”
Lourd is making her feature film debut in The Force Awakens, but in the meantime she’ll appear on the new FOX series Scream Queens this fall. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit the silver screen December 18.
