On May 4, 2013 the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, CO will host the annual Star Wars Day at the Hangar also dubbed as May the 4th be with you Star Wars Event. The event is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. 

In  few weeks Fantasy Flight Games will have a Star Wars Game Experience at their Fantasy Flight Game Event Center in Roseville, MN. This regional tournment for Star Wars the Card game and Star Wars X-wing miniature game will start on May 3rd and go through May 5th. This event looks to be a fun filled weekend for gamers with varioius competitions, RPG events, developer presentations, special guests, etc. 

Yesterday during a presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn announced that the company plans to release a new Star Wars film every year beginning with the release of Star Wars: Episode VII in the Summer of 2015. The plan right now is to release Episode VII in 2015 followed by Episode VIII in 2017 and Episode IX in 2019. 

Alternating between those dates will be the spin off movies in 2016 and 2018. While it has not been announced yet what the focus of the two spin off films will be, writers Simon Kinberg and Lawrence Kasdan were hired late last year to write the movies.

Actor Richard LeParmentier who famously portrayed Admiral Motti in the original Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope) passed away eariler this week in Austin, Texas. 

While Star Wars fans remember him the most as the smug Admiral who felt the telekinetic wrath of Darth Vader, Mr. LeParmentier appeared in several other films including Superman II, Octopussy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Mr. LeParmentier was 66 years old.
