The latest Star Wars novel penned by author Timothy Zahn is featured in this week's "50 Page Friday" offering from Del Rey Spectra. The novel, titled "Choices of One" is also Del Rey Spectra's last free book excerpt before heading off to Comic Con International next week.

The folks are Del Rey have announced on their Facebook page that they have partnered with Haynes to publish the Millennium Falcon Owners' Workshop Manual written by Star Wars and Indiana Jones author Ryder Windham and illustrated by Chris Trevas and Chris Reiff.

Gentle Giant LTD. just released info on thier newest pre-orders. Among the ten newly announced products are five Star Wars pieces scheduled for release in early 2012. The new collectibles are a 3-foot tall Clone Wars R2-D2 Monument, 12" Jumbo Vintage Kenner Figures of Greedo and a Stormtrooper, a R2-D2 Clone Wars Maquette, and a Tedn Dahai Cantina Band Mini Bust.

Begining today, the final chapter in the Rubber Chicken: Star Wars Trilogy can be yours on DVD or Blu-ray. The discs include the full 44-minute episode along with a cargo load of extras including deleted scenes, animatics, gag reels and six "featurettes" which include footage of such events as the making of the show and the crew's trip up to Skywalker Ranch to meet George Lucas.

More details about the upcoming animated Lego Star Wars special were released yesterday afternoon. The special, titled "Lego Star Wars: The Padawan Menace" will air July 22, 2011 at 7:00 PM (ET/PT) on the Cartoon Network.

While spending some time on Ebay and Amazon.com over the weekend, I happened to stumble across a few new (at least to me) Star Wars Lego sets that should be making their ways to shelves shortly. These finds, which all seemed to be based on the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series include the following:

Included among props from such iconic movies as Planet of the Apes, Jaws and the Indiana Jones films, a number of Star Wars props will also be hitting the market.

Included in the collection are one-sheet posters, storyboards, and screenplay books. Many of the items are even autographed by cast and crew including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, John Williams and George Lucas.

I am sure many of us have been teased about their name at some point ,I know I have whether it was my first or middle name, but have any of us ever thought about writing a book or making a movie about it? Well the movie "Leah not Leia" does just that.

For those with the Amazon Kindle, Sony Reader, and other e-book readers there are now over a 100 Star Wars books available for purchase on-line. Kinda makes me wish I had one of those devices, beats carrying books around. Most titles are priced $7.99 and higher.

It seems Greenpeace is none too happy with Volswagen and the company's poor environmental record has taken their attack viral. Spoofing VW's critically acclaimed Super Bowl television ad which featured a young Darth Vader, Greenpeace is using their viral ad to paint VW as the "Evil Empire" when it comes to how they treat the environment.
