They have decided to do a "best of the best" and split them up between the US and International Market places. The following is the line-up that will be available in the International market starting in early February 2013. It will be broken down into 2 waves.

Carrie Fisher, along with other celebrities including William Shatner, Patrick Stewart and Tom Hanks are lending their voices to the Sound Off for Autism Speaks campaign to raise money and awareness for the disorder which now affects 1 in 88 children in the United States. For $299 you can  buy a recorded message from your favorite celebrity and use it on your mobile device, website, social network, or anywhere else. Celebrities are donating their time and 100% of the proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks.

We post this realizing we are late to the party but then again so were most media outlets, Star Wars-centric sites or otherwise. It appears that sometime between Disney buying Lucasfilm and Halloween Rick McCallum, the producer of the Star Wars prequels as well as the defacto face of the company for over a decade, retired from the company. Little is known about the reason(s) McCallum left, other than a passing comment made by Fan Advisor to Lucasfilm Steve Sansweet on a podcast three weeks ago.



Boston Super MegaFest November 17th - 18th 2012

On November 17th the Sheraton hotel in Framingham, MA was host to the annual Boston Super MegaFest. This year's show was a very special show because it was a celebration of a couple unique milestones the first being it was the 10th anniversary of the show and the second being a 90th birthday for the Comic Book Legend Stan Lee. Some news sites are still reporting this as a rumor while other sites like The Hollywood Reporter are claiming it is a done deal. The latest news regarding the Lucasfilm/Disney production of the upcoming Star Wars sequel trilogy is that Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote both The Empire Strikes Back (Kasdan directed this film as well) and Return of the Jedi as well as Raiders of the Lost Ark will join Simon Kinberg, writer and producer of the X-Men series of movies, in writing and producing the second and third movies (Episodes VIII and IX) of the upcoming trilogy.

As pre-production of Star Wars: Episode VII begins, Lucasfilm has confirmed that award-winning writer Michael Arndt will write the screenplay for the new Star Wars film. As revealed in the ongoing video series posted here on StarWars.com, Kathleen Kennedy and George Lucas have begun story conferences with Arndt. Arndt won an Academy Award® for Best Original Screenplay for writing Little Miss Sunshine (2006), and was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for writing Toy Story 3 (2010).
