Star Wars in Concert
On Saturday night I was fortunate enough to attend ‘Star Wars in Concert’ at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.
Before the show even began, attendees were treated to a mini-museum of Star Wars props, costumes and artwork throughout the concourse as they made their way to their seats.
The concert kicked off with the iconic ‘A Long Time Ago…’ title screen and then led right into the equally iconic Opening Theme by John WIlliams.
Next up, the night’s master of ceremonies, Anthony Daniels took the stage to introduce conductor Dirk Brosse and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. What followed next was a feast for not only the ears, but also the eyes as well. While the most memorable compositions of the six-film saga were played live for the sold-out audience, a stunning visual display helped enhance the performance. From high-definition images from the films displayed on a large screen behind the orchestra to an amazing light and laser show that dominated the second half of the concert, Star Wars fans of all ages were treated to an amazing event.
