Star Wars Episode VII Being Shot in IMAX

Last night on their social media pages, J.J. Abrams’ production company Bad Robot posted a close-up of an IMAX camera in operation with the hash tag #bestformatever. Just as important is what the camera is focused on, a long stretch of what appears to a desert in Abu Dhabi where filming took place earlier this year. While it was previously announced that Episode VII would be released in IMAX theaters, this is the first confirmation that the some of, if not the entire film will be shot with IMAX cameras.
