Frank Oz to Voice Yoda on Star Wars Rebels

IGN has an exclusive clip for you from the next episode, “Path of the Jedi”, airing January 5th. Rebels takes place a few years before the original Star Wars film, A New Hope, while Yoda is in exile on Dagobah. As this clip shows, the Jedi Master does not leave that planet during his appearance on Rebels, but rather reaches out through the Force to contact Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.).

This episode is especially notable because Yoda is being voiced once again by the legendary Frank Oz. Yes, the original voice (and the original puppeteer) for Yoda is returning to provide the character’s distinctive cadence here, following fellow Star Wars film alums Anthony Daniels and James Earl Jones, who have voiced their respective characters on Rebels as well
