Rhode Island Comic Con 2019 round two
The weekend of November 1st through the 3rd the Rhode Island Comic Con and thousands for fans invaded the Dunkin Donuts’ Center, the Rhode Island Convention Center, and the Omni Providence Hotel for Rhode Island Comic dubbed “the BIGGEST show in the smallest state”.
To continue our coverage of this event we will look at the various groups and props that were there to entertain the crowds that were on hand. We saw the dragons from “How to train your dragon,” members of the local G.I. Joe costume group, the New England Brethren of Pirates, and the Saber Guild Padawan training institute.
We also got to see many vendors that were on hand selling various items to help add to the experience of attending the convention.
There were many things to see at this show like celebrity and fan panels, celebrities, costume/cosplay groups and individuals, artists, etc.
The dates for next year’s show have been announced. It will take place November 6th through 8th in 2020.
We had a great time during this event. We have seen it grow from one section in the Rhode Island Convention Center to expanding into the Dunkin Donuts Center and to finally having the celebrity panels in the Omni Hotel. Each year this show gets bigger and bigger. The fans keep coming back for more.
We would like to take the time to thank Altered Reality for giving us media/press passes and allowing us to cover this event again. We have been going to this convention since the beginning and look forward to see how it grows in the future.
