Collector’s Cantina Celebrates Our 10th Anniversary!
Life Day is not the only reason for a celebration today. At least for us.
Today, the team here at Collector’s Cantina celebrates our Tenth Anniversary. It was on this day, November 17th back in 2010 that we unlocked the doors on the Cantina for the first time and welcomed fellow fans into our website and Facebook page. We had a slightly different name that day (THE Collector’s Cantina) and a pretty ghastly logo that thankfully has been lost to history, but we had the same team (more or less) and the same goal, to share as much Star Wars news and collecting info with the public as possible and have some fun while doing it.
Over the past 10 years we have had the chance to do and see some amazing stuff. Press screening, interviews with Star Wars actors and creators, and we traveled across the United States covering conventions large and small. One of the things we are most proud of is that we did all this with NO ADVERTISING. It was important to us from the start to be able to deliver to you, the fans, a clean and easy-to-navigate experience free of clutter and competing banner ads.
We want to thank all of you who have allowed us over the past 10 years to fill your timelines with not only first looks at exclusive collectibles, but also with some of the random, off-beat items we have stumbled across everywhere from flea markets, to conventions to even our own basements and storage units.
We wouldn’t have made it past Year One if it wasn’t for you, our faithful Cantina patrons. We continue to appreciate your patronage and support as we kick off our second decade of what we hope will be full of more Star Wars fun and friends.
