Hasbro has revealed new Black Series figures to celebrate 50 years of LucasFilm
Today Hasbro revealed through various Star Wars Fan sites three new figures joining the LucasFilm 50th Anniversary Commemorative line for the Black Series 6″ figure line. For this wave Hasbro has brought back the classic Power of the Force packaging/card backs. The packaging will feature Darth Vader and have an image of the character from the movie they were in.
This wave will include Greedo, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker. Han and Luke have been updated with the photo real deco and Greedo is the previously released version (original Black Series not the Kenner 50th Anniversary version revealed earlier this year).
The figures will retail for $26.49. Will be available this Fall. Pre-orders for the figures will be on Hasbro Pulse and shopDisney starting Friday June 18th. at 1:00 PM EST. Be sure to check those sites tomorrow to grab these figures.
Breakdown for the figures/accessories:
Greedo – comes with a small blaster.
Han Solo – comes with his signature blaster, Stormtrooper blaster, Stormtrooper utility belt, and signature belt with blaster holder.
Luke Skywalker – comes with Blue Lightsaber (blade appears to be removable), soft goods wrap, and binoculars. Lightsaber hilt can attach to the utility belt.
Here is what Star Wars designer Eric Franer had to say about these figures:
“As we continue to celebrate Lucasfilm’s 50th Anniversary, we wanted to get the iconic Power of The Force packaging into the line! Han and Luke are both updated with our photoreal deco for their likeness and Greedo has the same execution as his previous release.”
These cards look to be a great throwback to the Power of the Force line from the mid 90’s. This will go very good in any SW figure collection.
